Storyline War Live
Belgrade, 1999. Producer Sergei and his film crew are in a disastrous situation - the film they're making is under threat - there's no money, the crew are dissatisfied - and NATO bombing is just around the corner. Then a member of the State Security Service (Mileta) comes looking for American co-producer Harvey. Anxious and worried, in the midst of the bombing that's begun, Sergei hides Harvey from what he thinks is awaiting him - arrest. During the night, he thinks up a plan. He announces the start of filming on a new, patriotic film - in which the main role will be played by Harvey. The plan works - the State supports the film and Mileta, as the State's representative, joins the crew. However, the underlying conflict between Mileta and Sergei explodes during the first screening. Mileta accuses them of being artists, and not being patriots.Movie details

War Live is the first live album by funk group War, recorded during a four-night engagement at Chicago's High Chapparral club and released as a double LP on United Artists Records in 1973. The album was reissued on Rhino Records as a double disc CD on 1992 September 15 [5] and again on 2008 March 31.
War Live-- also sometimes known simply as Live-- was recorded just as the group was achieving a peak of popularity and virtuosity; it was released 16 months later amid a string of highly successful studio LPs. Underappreciated at the time, it was recorded at a late November show at the High Chaparral in Chicago.

This makes this a good cd , from a great band but you have to be in the mood for long jams done live to get into this. That being said. War is one of the best bands of it's type to ever exist. So you can always get their other cds to get the hits. And I have them all. This was the last one I needed to complete my collection.
