In a remote temple in Tibet, a young boy with mystical abilities – the Golden Child – receives badges of station and demonstrates his power to the monks of the temple by reviving a dead eastern rosella, which becomes a constant companion and familiar. Golden Child is just such an artifact of 80's flicks. A Chosen One, demons, cultists, martial arts, hair metal, stop-motion animation, biker gangs, Charles Dance as an evil wizard-pimp. It's like the freak twin film of Big Trouble in Little China. It even has Victor Wong and James Hong.
